Tokyo's five star hotel, The Peninsula Tokyo, has been using LIRIO bath salts as its room amenity since 2017, the product is also available to purchase at its hotel boutique. LIRIO bath salts are made from powdered salt from the Sanuki region of Japan, where salt manufacturing has been flourishing since the Edo period. The product is scented with two distinct fragrances paying homage to Japan - '桜 (Sakura)' and '禅 (Zen)’. Using only fragrances of the grade normally used for perfumes, the aroma spreads beyond the bath-tub and into the entire bathroom.
